Wiltshire to compete against Gloucestershire in showcase fixture at the iconic Cheltenham Cricket Festival on Sunday 31st July

This summer will see the second year of the NCCA (National Counties Cricket Association) showcase games; an initiative that sees Men’s National Counties 1st XIs compete against a First Class county.

For Wiltshire, we are delighted that our 50 over showcase fixture will see us play against Gloucestershire on Sunday 31st July. Even more exciting is that this fixture will take place during the iconic Cheltenham Festival. The Cheltenham Cricket Festival is the longest running Cricket Festival on an out ground (Festival Ground) in the world and remains one of the most picturesque and special places to watch county Cricket in the UK.

What are the showcase games?

The Showcase Games are a fantastic opportunity for the National Counties to test themselves against the best players in the country.

With every County playing a First Class team over a 3-day period, these 50 Over fixtures will showcase not only the huge pool of talent within the National Counties, but the hundreds of people that put such huge amounts of effort into recreational cricket across the UK.
