Opportunity for Female Activator/Support Coach to join the Girls Talent Pathway Programme

Wiltshire Cricket would like to provide some of our female volunteers with an opportunity to gain some extra experience during the coming winter coaching period. Across the county there are volunteers who have attended National Programmes training (All Stars and Dynamos Cricket) and/or an ECB Support Coach course who might be interested in increasing their coaching experience.

Wiltshire Cricket are running their Girls County Winter Talent Pathway Development programmes for Under 11s and Under 13s girls age groups at the Nadder Centre, Tisbury during January, February and March 2022.

  • Dates – Sunday 9th January to Sunday 27th March
  • Venue – Nadder Centre, Weaveland Road, Tisbury, Salisbury, SP3 6HJ
  • Timings:
    • Under 11s – 9am to 11am
    • Under 13s – 11am to 1pm

Job Description

The role will involve working alongside the two qualified coaches to support the delivery of these girls programmes:

  • Helping with warm ups.
  • Helping to run small sided games – umpiring and keeping score.
  • Assisting with running skills sets – feeding balls for batting or fielding, etc.
  • Other ad hoc elements of the session where having qualified technical knowledge is not essential.

Remuneration

This is not a voluntary role, coaching assistants will be paid:

  • £10.00 per hour
  • 25p per mile travel

Payments will be made via Wiltshire Cricket’s payroll system on a monthly basis via a “Coaching and Mileage” claim form.

Availability

While it would be preferable for an individual to be able to attend all 12 weeks of a programme, we would be happy to accept applications from individuals maybe only able to attend a number of these sessions.

Minimum Requirements

To complete this role, we would require the individual to be:

  • Female
  • Aged 18 or older
  • Hold a current ECB DBS disclosure (or be willing to complete an application before participating in their first session).

We hope that from our new collection of inspired females volunteering in cricket we might be able to provide someone with this great opportunity.
