Wiltshire CCC lose to Berkshire CCC in annual Marlborough Cup fixture

The 30th Marlborough Cup between Wiltshire and Berkshire took place at Westbury and District CC on Sunday 19th April 2026

Berkshire batted first taking advantage of excellent batting conditions scoring 333-8  off their 50 overs.  Euan Woods scored a brilliant 121 to under pin the innings. For Wiltshire Stan Brown took 3-60 and Archie Pascoe 2-52.

In reply Wiltshire made a good start and after 25 overs when drinks were taken were 157-3 and in with a chance. Ed Young scored 71, Jack Mynott 45 and Will Naish 28.  After drinks the Berkshire spinners created havoc and Wiltshire were all out for 174  in 31.4 overs.  Euan Woods 2-14 and Nilesh Bhandari 4-14 as Berkshire won by 159 runs.
