Match Preview: Wiltshire Women host Berkshire in Vitality T20 Women's County Cup Competition
The Vitality T20 Women’s County Cup is back for 2026, after it’s inaugural season last year, where Lancashire Women were crowned champions, after defeating Surrey by 32-runs in the final at Taunton.
The Vitality T20 Women’s County Cup follows a knock-out format, with every county across England & Wales competing in the same competition - you can therefore expect several “David vs Goliath” fixtures this summer, where national counties come face to face with fully professional sides.
Wiltshire start their campaign in a home draw against local rivals, Berkshire at Marlborough CC, where both counties will be taking to the field with the hope of competing in Round 2 in a few weeks time - the victors playing the winner of Glamorgan vs Devon, and potentially a 3rd round match against Tier 1 side, Hampshire which could feature several England Women’s players, including Lauren Bell & Maia Bouchier.
Both Wiltshire & Berkshire will be looking to field a strong playing XI, featuring a number of rising young stars and several well-established players in the Women’s game. However, both sides will also be affected by cup-ties, meaning a number of their home grown players could be representing either Glamorgan or Hampshire in the same competition.
Wiltshire & Berkshire will be looking to continue their strong starts to the season, following the opening round of the Vitality T20 Blast last weekend, where Berkshire & Wiltshire now sit 1st & 2nd respectively in the T20 group for 2026.
The County Cup action is something not to be missed this weekend. Spectators, Families & Supporters are all welcome to attend the 11am fixture at Marlborough CC on Sunday 26th April - Free Entry!
