Wiltshire CCC to take on Gloucestershire in Showcase game

As part of a new initiative from the NCCA, Wiltshire will take on our First Class neighbours Gloucestershire CCC at the Bristol County Ground on Tuesday 20th July in a 50 over showcase game.

Originally scheduled to launch in 2020, the Showcase Games are a fantastic opportunity for the National Counties to test themselves against the best players in the country.

In futures years, games will be hosted at a ground in the National County with all matches taking place over a 3-day period. It is hoped these 50 Over fixtures will showcase, not only the huge pool of talent within the National Counties, but the hundreds of people that put such huge amounts of effort into recreational cricket across the UK.

For Covid-19 related reasons, Wiltshire's 2021 showcase match will be hosted at The County Ground, Bristol.

In terms of spectator information, here are some key points:

  • Entry will be Free
  • No allocated seating
  • Spectators will be asked to wear masks as they move around the ground and are asked to be mindful of social distancing
  • The Thatchers Bar will be open for drinks and snacks

We hope some Wiltshire supporters will be able to get along to enjoy the match!
